Here is a small update for y'all.
I finally finished our 'TestClient'. Basically, we need a way to log-in lets say 1,000 people to test stability. I cannot wait for 1,000 real people to log-in, so this is considered our test client. It doesn't do anything but stand there once logged in, but it does receive and understand the packets/log-in process. This helps also with me typing the wrong password and having over 10,000 connections hammer the log-in server. Works wonders.
On the side, I have been at work. So, I am unable to run Lineage 2 while through remote desktop. So, I have a created a small bot, sort of like L2Walker, where I can log-in, move around, and such. I don't plan to release this, or even make it 10% of what L2Walker is, but at least I can log-in at work, and test stupid things.
Other than that, its been quiet. Still searching for someone with talent and exp. in the field of MMORPGs to look into upgrading our core.
T'is all for now, enjoy the holidays!

Posted By: Ken Well,
I know your all going to be shocked to see this post. Hello.

Let me first say sorry for the delay in getting this out. I've been wondering around the forums in the past few days, and I figured I should put it out here, as many might not read the forums anymore.
Where have I been? Well, between being a full time student, working 24 hours a week, and taking care of a girlfriend, I've had little time. I'm sure many of you went on to other servers, but those still around, I didn't give up on you. I figured at this point in time, it would be best to go ahead and hire someone to work on ElToo while I am at work. My dream is to work for myself. I've already had my own company that still exists today, but I would to enlarge that. Plus, getting a job as a programmer is hard. Getting a project to program is easy. So, as I continue my normal crazy life, I am putting out around 1,000$ to have someone start working on ElToo. His basic role will be increasing our already working core from around 150 players to 5,000 players. I see no issue once this is done with me fixing the normal game bugs to finish up ElToo. Finally, I will be getting a team of 10-20 people to work on the AI/People set-up to get our world working.
I've made the decision for now to avoid working on 2 aspects. 1) Geodata. 2) Pathnoding. Both of these are very tricky tasks. I believe that once we get a game working (Even though you can shoot someone through the floor for now), it will be a start. At that point, we can spend more money to have someone from a professional company finish the Geodata. (Something L2j should do as they still have a lot of issues with Geodata). And that would be the entire game.
Over the next 10 days I am planing to do some heavy advertising for a coder in this field. I'll keep you updated on any leads I might get.
Happy Holidays!

Happy Halloween to all of you who still check in once in a while!
Bet a lot of you are going out for partying, trick & treat, carving out Jack-O Lanterns and generally just scaring people with creepy tricks and costumes.

I know I am. I already spent a whole day carving out pumpkins, sadly it started raining so I had to take them in...

Posted By: Gehn For those of you who still actually visit the forums, sorry for the downtime today. Server did automatic updates and then restarted, which turns off the server until I or someone else gets home and turns it back on.
BACK UP NOW THOUGH! obviously. :P
